We are committed to the solicitation, management, and distribution of funds and/or other negotiable assets acquired by the Foundation to benefit the students, teachers, and staff of Transylvania County Schools.

- In-Kind Donations are always welcome- art supplies, equipment, meeting or event space, administrative or business services, etc.
- Volunteer!! A gift of your time is a valuable way to support our efforts. We welcome volunteers to help with fundraising events, mailings, creative classroom grant committee, and other necessary functions of the foundation.
- Guest speakers- tell your personal story of “success”, share your life and educational experiences, and/or how you failed and overcame. Real world experiences are invaluable to students and it helps bring what they are learning in the classroom to life.
- Items for raffle and auction at our annual fundraising event Taste of Transylvania. Valuable donations in the past have been trips and vacation rentals, art, local business goods, services, and gift certificates.

The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina
The Transylvania County Schools Educational Foundation is a Non-Profit Fund listed with CFWNC.
A nonprofit fund is an endowed fund and TCSEF has chosen to secure our endowment with The Community Foundation which provides annual support to our nonprofit and allows the principal to grow in perpetuity. Through placement of TCSEF funds with The Community Foundation, our Board of Directors has ensured the long-term stewardship and objective fiscal management of our funds.
Our relationship with CFWNC provides a resource to help secure charitable gifts that are larger than simple donations. If you are considering a contribution to TCSEF through an estate plan or need further guidance please contact us today to discuss your options.
